Surprising find the Antique section of Craigslist. The seller seems to want to sell it as art and not a vehicle.

I’ve got a 1964 scout half cab truck...they are kind of rare to find. The body is in poor condition but all the pieces are there...fenders, doors, axles, etc. Instead of selling it to someone for a restoration (not getting much interest on that front), are there any restaurants, taverns, breweries, etc that may be looking for that one piece of decoration for in front of their business or to insert with rugged looking landscaping. The patina (fancy name for rust) is perfect for the age to look like it’s lived outside forever.

“Contact me if you are interested.” Well, the degree to which I’m interested is inversely proportional TO THE PRICE!!!! It just drives me crazy when a Craigslist ad (or a For Sale sign on a car you see around town) has no price on it. At least give me a ballpark so I know whether I’m wasting my/your time.

/rant Sorry, that’s just a pet peeve of mine.

Am I the only one who wastes my time emphatically offering these people quadruple their asking price? Give me a ballpark idea or I will waste your time. Especially egregious are the people who make the list price intentionally low (1$) but list their actual price in the ad. Jerks

And when you inquire about the price they will not respond and you will forever wonder if someone actually got it for a steal, and then it pops up for sale again 7 months later with the same ad and the cycle repeats.

I couldn’t find his old ad under autos but you are probably right.

I just flag all those $1 ones (when I don't just set a minimum to filter them out).

I’ll admit, I’ve been perversely tempted to contact some of these people and say “One dollar??!?? I’ll take it!”

If I had all the time in the world to waste, I ’d be tempted to waste even more of THEIR time, asking more questions and making arrangements to meet , assuming that   the price was already fully understood and agreed upon.
